About me
Mallory O'Brien is a dedicated Environmental Health Educator with over eight years of experience in public and environmental health education. Currently working at CDPHE on the Toxicology and Environmental Epidemiology team, Mallory has been active in advancing community health education and managing environmental health programs for more than four years. Before CDPHE, Mallory started her public health career as an Environmental Health Specialist at the Pueblo Department of Public Health and Environment.
Mallory received her Bachelor of Science in Public Health Sciences from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her work focuses on emerging contaminants such as PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances), childhood lead poisoning, and providing environmentally impacted communities with resources and support. She is passionate about sharing accurate, accessible, science-based health information that makes it easier for all audiences to read and understand.
